To begin, what is a Mammal?

A Mammal is an Animal that is a hairy, warm blooded,

vertebrate (has a backbone) that breathes air, gives birth live,

and the female of the species nurses its young.


We also share our home in the Ocala National Forest,

with these Mammals whose Seminole names are shown in Brown:

Florida Panther - coo - wah-chobee, Black Bear - no - go - she(?)   

Deer - ee-cho and Raccoon - wood-ko, one who rubs.
